Awake early this morning full of excitement packed the bike and chilled out for a short while with Dave and Nikki having a cup of tea. Its then time to leave we all say good bye a couple of photos and I am off to Port Khalid in Sharjah. I was told to be at the port before 12 so I got there at 11 went into customs got the paperwork done and entered the port gate. I don’t know why I still believe these people with their timings. The guy at the dock checks the bike and tells me to take the keys leave the bike and go to departure’s (see photo) he said they will start loading at 2 so I check out the local café for some lunch with the local Indian works, rice curry bread salad 2 cups of tea and a bottle of water (8 Dirhams I will miss that). The ferry was delayed from Sun so there are a lot of people waiting 2 O’clock come and goes so does 3 4
& 5 we start the loading at 6 you can imagine the so called queuing to get through departures, chaos. I met a very interesting German couple travelling for the last 6 months in a van form Germany. Any way through I go stamped out on the passport and on to the bus to go to the ferry and then back to get the bike ride the bike onto the ferry grab my bag and find a seat. It really is full people everywhere, but it’s all cool and a meal kebab rice yogurt an apple and coke. Now some sleep I think not, babies crying women chatting and the guys playing on their mobiles. You gotta laugh.
